Psychopathia Sexualis

by Richard von Krafft-Ebing

Few people are aware of the powerful influence sexual life has on the feelings, thoughts, and actions of intellectual and social life. Schiller, in his poetry: The Sages , recognizes this fact and says: "While philosophy supports the edifice of the world, hunger and love form the wheels." It is, however, very surprising that philosophers have paid only a very secondary attention to sexual life.
