Middlemarch
by George Eliot
Middlemarch, A Study of Provincial Life is a novel by the English author George Eliot, first published in eight instalments in 1871–72. The novel is set in the fictitious Midlands town of Middlemarch during 1829–32, and follows several distinct, intersecting stories with a large cast of characters.
A great book that taught me about marriage and relationships and expectations. Also, if you want to learn to write sentences, this woman is a master at her craft. The author is extremely perceptive of the inner moods and turmoils of people. A true classic!
